PD: How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?
TC: We are an industrial/industrial metal band from Toronto, Canada. I use music as a coping mechanism for the blunders that life sometimes brings, and use it as a constructive outlet to deal with them.
PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc. What is the band’s lineup?
TC: I’m originally from a small “city” called Guelph, Ontario. Growing up I gravitated towards music because I was a very lonely and very angry child, and music was there for me when no one else was. I felt safe with headphones on, and wanted to envelope my life into music. I was in a couple bands in highschool, or just out of highschool, and they were terrible hahaha. I’ve never stopped since. The current band line-up consists of myself (Connor), Evan on guitar, Joey on drums, and Brendan on bass!
PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences? What do you like to write about in your songs?
TC: My biggest musical inspirations are people like Trent Reznor, Jonathan Davis, Dave Gahan, among others. Old and new horror films are a huge inspiration too especially anything involving the Paranormal! I typically write about what I see, and what I feel, going through life. It’s a form of therapy to me, where I can learn, and process what’s going on in my life and turn it into music.
PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?
TC: I want to be able to create music for a living, and be an outlet for people who need it, just like I was as a kid.
PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?
TC: We played an event called Krampus, at a venue called The Opera House in Toronto. The event was curated by friends of ours, in a venue I’ve always wanted to play. It was a really great time.
PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new
artists emerging from bedrooms in the day of the home studio. How is that going?
TC: It’s extremely challenging, not going to lie. It’s an endless abyss of noise, and you gotta stand out and be louder than it.
PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?
TC: We’ve mostly been asked to play shows around here, which is quite humbling. We do manage the cold Email route a lot too. We curated our own show in May 2024, and asked some of our friends to play with us. We’ve decided to ease up on playing shows this year, just so we can focus on getting new tunes out there!
PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?
TC: I’m on the fence. Is it evil? Maybe. Perhaps a necessary evil. I think artists not being paid fairly, (or at all, let’s face it), is disgusting, and I hate that the value of music seems to have lessened to the masses these days. However, it’s the best way to promote yourself using streaming tools, and ads, to have your music appear when people log in, doomscroll, what have you. It is what is is, unfortunately.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
TC: There’s SO many songs for that haha. Off the top of my head though, I’d have to say ‘Anxiety’ by ‘Preoccupations’. It’s just such a vibe, and speaks to me. Its a Very well written song.
PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?
TC: I don’t like how the value has seemed to disappear. Now it’s all free online, it’s mocked by these shorts and tiktoks people make just “playing fast cause they can”, and misunderstanding what music really is anymore. Like great; you can play super super fast, but can you write a song? I like when someone pours themselves into a song and you 
feel it.
PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?
TC: I have a couple things I’m working on right now! We want to get back to work with our producer, Brett Carruthers, and work with him again. I’m also self producing another song currently. I think there’s 3 songs in the works right now.
