About ‘Don’t Tell Me Twice

Drive:

Drive is about those long summer days out in your new car with your significant other, windows down listening to your favorite music, not caring about anything that’s happening in the world or when you have to be home, just the sun and the moment your in with your partner waiting for the sun to go down and just the love for music and driving. ‘Drive’ is a song that everyone can listen to and picture themselves driving in the sun feeling happy and lost in the music. This is a great song to listen whilst driving down long winding roads, with your significant other and best friends.

All You Gotta Do:

All you gotta do is a song about getting too drunk and hoping that your significant other would look after you and take care of you the same which you would do for them if they were in the same situation. The song is about wanting to be taken home by your significant other saying its ‘All You Gotta Do If You Care’. The atmospheric elements from the guitar and cymbals create a drunk feeling mood, the chorus when we put in a stop is usually unexpected and puts the rhythm out of place when they are bobbing their heads to the song, however it’s very noticeable to anyone listening so it brings the audience to listen more and be aware of more unexpected elements that we bring in the song throughout.

Wanna Let You Know:

Wanna let you know is a song about a person that is never happy, always angry and just a horrible person and wanting to be able to tell this person that they are cold hearted and how much you dislike them as a person. We portray these feelings within our song structure, we have a heavy reverb and delay effect for the verses which builds up a sense of frustration that we then release into the chorus, the chorus is very rock heavy to show how we are feeling – angry and overpowering.

Someone New:

Someone new is about having thoughts and doubts on your partner’s love for you and having thoughts about waking up to them with another person, it’s about jealousy and not feeling loved and the worry of them leaving you for someone else. This song is significant to both of us as we both have an emotional connection to the song. When we play this live we play it as if we are both feeling what our experiences made us feel.

Twilight:

Twilight is about falling in love with a vampire and saying that you can fall in love with anyone it doesn’t matter if there a vampire. This is a very atmospheric blend of love and power and we instruct this through the way we play the song. The verses are somewhat mellow but we provide a build up to the chorus which contrasts to a bigger atmosphere of emotions, the reverb and atmospheric voice the cymbals and guitar tones gives creates a supernatural vibe.

EP moods: Anger, innocent, sleepy, heavy, sad, getting drunk, Grunge, Garage, Electric, Sun, Rain, Summer, Happy, Long Drives, Love, Mellow, Melancholy, Chill, Progressive rock.
