King Goon

King Goon

“THREE CHEERS FOR THE FAT ITALIAN” is the first single from the long-awaited and much-delayed debut album from one of South Wales’ most chaotic and free-wheeling musical acts: the twelve-legged, many-voiced, sound engineer’s nightmare that is KING GOON.

The single (plus 3 extra tracks) will be released on SATURDAY 23RD MAY

King Goon emerged in its primeval form sometime in late 2011 when Joel, despite promising he was taking a break following the demise of his previous band, couldnt stay quiet for long and started working on some new, different material and found him self with a stockpile of songs – some more finished than others. Reasoning that it would simply be a waste to not take these songs out in public he began to plot.

Various willing volunteers to climb aboard the Goon bus came out of the wood work, some well known entities and some not so well known, rumour has it that there were about 28 people at the first King Goon jam but as is always the case many of these fell by the wayside as time went on and eventually the current line up of goons was settled on.

King Goon in its current form have been gigging around south wales and wherever else will have them since 2015 with one firm rule in place, to always have a good time. Their blend of Technicolour, high-octane, genre-hopping rock/dance/ska music will make sure you have a good time too, Bring your dancing shoes.
