Since forming in 2007, Von Doom has pursued the creation of a fast, dynamic, and inspired spin on Melodic Death Metal. It was when founding members Billy Serocki (Guitars), Eric Fordney (Bass), and Justin Vaughn (Drums) joined forces with Jason Hooker (Vocals) that their vision quickly came to fruition. After releasing several recordings and performing many shows, in the summer of 2011, Von Doom disbanded.
In the spring of 2015, after years spent pursuing other endevours, Von Doom reunited and continued the pursuit of their signature sound with renewed passion. Searing guitars, aggressive bass, tight rhythms, and gripping vocal execution have become the cornerstone of this sound, one of which fans have come to expect with every performance.
In an effort to give fans a taste of what’s to come, in the summer of 2017, Von Doom entered Human Studios to record and eventually release their latest single titled “From Fear”, a song which represents the strongest elements of the band’s musical prowess. Speed, melody, ferocity, and urgency, aspects that are defining characteristics of Von Doom’s sound, are in full effect on “From Fear”. One thing can be certain after listening to this latest offering: Von Doom is more focused, precise, and intense than ever.
Von Doom has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many national acts, including Behemoth, Dark Tranquillity, Max & Iggor Cavalera, Origin, Immolation, Arsis, Starkill, Triptykon, Vital Remains, Powerglove, Ghost Ship Octavius, and many others.
