Interview with Haruki of Tramston Valley and Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (

PD: What type of artist are you?

Haruki. We are playing very simple rock. My background music is 90’s,2000’s U.S rock and I like blues rock,southern rock. So music type is all of those mix.


PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

Haruki. We met on some jam session few years ago, Then formed this band in summer 2018 at Infinity Books Japan(live space) in Tokyo.


PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

Haruki. My musical influences is my uncle. He was an unknown guitarist, But his tone is best for me.  And non-musical influences is Hideki “Gozilla” Matsui and Ichiro Suzuki.


PD: What are your dreams and goals?

Haruki. My dream is make a best 1 song of my life. And this word is my goal “try not to become a man of success,but rather a man of value.”


PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

Haruki. I’m writing all songs.


PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

Haruki. Recently, we’ve got a good agent for promote,So he brought this interview to me. And about shows, We using Facebook.


PD: What do you think about downloading music online?

Haruki. I think it’s good.Because anyone find many music easily,It’s a good thing for us as well. But I like a CD even now.


PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

Haruki. I wanna write more traditional garage rock song. Because I’ve never written it.


PD: What are some of your pet peeves?

Haruki. I hate a person who always complains.


PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

Haruki. 17 years ago,My band had almost no audience in live show. Because our turn was after famous local band. But when 1 guy heard my voice, He brought back many people. Audience changed around 20 to 100, Then after the show he said “It was really great voice!!”. The moment is still my proudest.


PD: So what are you working on at the moment?

Haruki. We still can’t live show because of coronavirus. So I’m writing songs and studying mixing techniques of DTM after work every night.
