The Byways

The Byways

The Byways have Something To Prove

The Byways seem to be cultivating the right audience as they actively drop their EP and push forward in the ranks of the rock arena. With all four songs being quite notable, a favorite seems to be “Believe In Me”. This song leads the EP and possess the kind of style to be expected from the rest of the songs. Having said that, the EP does have it’s diversity between the songs and each one fortifies the record more and more. Over all. Something To Prove is revolves around its roots in folk and pop. It’s not hard to get caught up in any given song at any given time. There are some terrific guitars on this EP and it’s  certainly clearing a path for The Byways future in music. Here is what songwriter Alex Goettel had to say about the release:

“This EP is all about me coming to terms with myself, my life experiences, and my past mistakes.  It’s about understanding yourself, forgiving yourself, and loving yourself so you can move forward.  This EP forced me to get to a more creative place than I had ever been in before. I think now we’re more confident that our songs will find a way to speak for themselves. We’re less afraid, more creative, and more open to new directions.”
