The Battery Farm
‘Maggot Line’ new single from Manchester Gutter Punks The Battery Farm 23/10
The Battery Farm are a Gutter Punk four-piece from Manchester playing punishing, pulverising rock music brimming with pain and passion. Formed in March 2019 by brothers Ben and Dominic Corry. It was formed as a cry of despair; a terrified and furious response to a world that rapidly seems to be going wrong. This is reflected in the sound of the band which is frantic, visceral and violent but also laced with beauty and melody. Our sound has been compared to bands like IDLES, PIL, Fugazi and Pere Ubu while maintaining something thrillingly real, original and human.
Maggot Line is the new single. The song is about the climate crisis and the economical apartheid that will occur as a result of it, which will ultimately enable the rich to have the resources to shield themselves from the worst effects of climate breakdown while the poor are left to suffer.
The single is released 23rd October and is the lead single from the upcoming debut EP ENDLESS UNSTOPPABLE PAIN , which is released 27th November. It was recorded at Red City Studios in Manchester, produced by David Radahd-Jones and mastered by Pete Maher.
