Room Full of Strangers, produced by Kramer, whose credits include: Jacuzzi Boys, Beach Day, Monotonix, Daniel Johnston, Half Japanese, Butthole Surfers and many other timeless and contemporary greats has recently been in the studio for their first official worldwide LP release, titled Bad Vacation. Cuts from the album include a genre bending array of 60s influenced psychedelic soul, surf tinged garage rock, to ‘No Wave’ inspired art punk written with a pop sensibility while drawing comparisons to The Stooges and The Arctic Monkeys. By purveying this eclectic musical blend, combined with a commanding presence and an aurally inspiring live performance, the Strangers continue to gain the interest of the college music scene. Proof positive, the Strangers have been invited to play official showcases at the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC four years running, resulting in the band garnering substantial buzz in 2014 that landed them on top 10 bands and ‘ones to watch lists. The Strangers also have been invitees of SXSW, NXNE in Toronto and showcased at the inaugural CBGB Fest, honoring the legendary venue CBGB that birthed the likes of The Ramones, The Talking Heads and Patti Smith. Most recently, the Strangers single, ‘Guest Bath,’ has reportedly received airplay on over 200+ radio stations on the U.S. east coast alone, and in the wake of this warm U.S. reception, the Strangers are in preparation for a month long European tour for this autumn. The European tour titled Bad Vacation after their recent LP is being promoted by Prescription PR, whose clients include Of Montreal, Weezer, Butch Vig and Universal Music Group.
