Mind Erasure – Interview

Interview with Lampros of Mind Erasure and Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (

PD:  How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?

Lampros: we are a group of people that enjoy writing music, every member of the band has a different taste in music. We combine the things we like and the outcome is mind erasure.

PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc.

Lampros: We come from Greece’s northwest island of Corfu, the band exists since 2013 approximately. Music is a way to express ourselves

PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences? What do you like to write about in your songs?

Lampros: Musically we are influenced mostly by Death and Black metal bands, such as insomnium, dark tranquility bolt thrower Hate. I write most of the lyrics, so far, I like to write about violence, existential and nihilistic philosophy.

PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?

Lampros: We would like to spread our music, and do some live shows.

PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?

Lampros:  our fisrt album CONNIVE, we worked so hard for this, and against all odds it came out well!!

PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new artists emerging from bedrooms in the day of the home studio. How is that going?

Lampros: like most of the bands out there, progressing very slowly, the web is a double edged knife, it gives us freedom and opportunities but nowdays it is hard to stand out, especially with all the good work so many bands are doing!

PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?

Lampros: we have not booked anything yet…

PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?

Lampros: it is a necessary evil nowadays

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

Lampros: am not that kind of guy, I appreciate and love music but I never thought I could have write that song. I am inspired by many musicians, singers and song writers!

PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?

Lampros: some things, but nothing I could change.

PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?

Lampros: We are working on some new songs, for our second album.

PD: Where can we learn more about you and buy your music/merch online?
