Minatore – Interview

Interview with Tommy Keeling of Minatore and  Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (http://petesrocknewsandviews.com)

PD: What type of artist are you?

TK: A deceptively unangry and unsexual artist.

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

TK: I was born in 1984. I grew older and then I was in some projects and then I made this one because everyone was so miserable. I wanted to make people happy and inspire other people, and represent transgender men.

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

TK: David Lee Roth, Suzi Moon, Bert Reynolds

PD: What are your dreams and goals

TK: To be able to buy all the sandwiches I want and not have to worry about being poor.

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

TK: Usually, they’re about everything besides love. Our new single Boys Tell Lies is about rape culture.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

TK: We don’t. We have all the usual internet stuff, but we’re a small project

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?

TK: Download all the music from me you want, but on our own site, we’ll get £1 per song, when you stream on Spotify for instance, £0.004 per play. So sack off Spotify.

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

TK: Gravity by Nico Vega, because it’s perfection

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?

TK: At the moment Covid mask wearers with their nose hanging out.

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

TK: Watching friends I’ve supported do well.

PD: So what are you working on at the moment?

TK: Getting the album prepared. We have all the songs I just have to work them.

PD: What music have you available online and where can we buy it from?

TK: We have a double single release, and video just up. You can find all the details on our website
