PD: What type of artist are you?

L: Female fronted indie/rock/pop band with a hypnotic varied range of material

 

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

L: MCR based band Writing music for many years , first gig was radio competition which we won. First demo produced by MCR legend Chris Nagle . Headlined all the MCR Venues over last 10 years , took a break due to health issues of our original drummer. Previous albums released via Native Records. New EP just released via pure platinum supporting #saveourvenues. New tracks ready for studio in August with producer Mike Bennett and drummer Simon Wolstencroft (previously The Fall, Ian Brown plus many more.,,)

 

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

L: Pretenders, Blondie, Velvet Underground, Chameleons, The Kills . Ossie Clarke, Barbara Hulaniki

 

PD: What are your dreams and goals?

L: To produce music that I’m proud of and resonates with people and be on Jools Holland live…!

 

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

L: Myself and lead guitarist Gary. Our style can vary from dreamy heartfelt songs to fast paced punk style tracks . The words are built from whatever life inspires at any given time

 

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

L: Not massive social media user…but word of mouth and Facebook help.

 

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?

L: I’m a huge vinyl fan but am also impatient when I want to listen to new music and love to have access to music wherever I am ….

 

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

L: Creep by Radiohead. It has everything from harmony to hook with such unique lyrics and amazing power as it builds.

 

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?

L: Rudeness, animal cruelty ,narrow mindedness and noisy eaters…..

 

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

L: Winning a radio battle of the bands despite being crippled with nerves as first live gig

 

PD: So what are you working on at the moment?

L: New tracks ready for the studio in August with producer Mike Bennett and drummer Simon Wolstencroft…(previously The Fall, Ian Brown …many more)

L: 6 track EP ‘1’ just released on pure platinum available Spotify, apple all international digital outlets.
