PD. What type of artist are you?
Hey man it’s great to chat with you here I’m Eric gynan co-founder of the band Leaving Eden from the Boston Mass area USA. That’s kind of a tough question because they always want to put you in a box. We are a rock band essentially with Hard Rock metal extreme rock some folk add some dance beats to some of that stuff. We kind of just write what comes to mind.

PD. Who are your musical and non-musical influences?
Well I hate to say negative stuff I go by the saying if you have nothing good to say then keep your mouth shut. So myself I like old school Black Sabbath Led Zeppelin and my musical tastes have really changed in that when I was a kid it was just metal. Now I can appreciate so many more styles. Songs that I absolutely hated I now like imagine that. I like anything from Disturbed Shinedown Pop Evil Fozzy.
PD. What are your dreams and goals?
I can imagine that any artist that initially picked up an instrument and started getting versatile at it had some kind of inert hope of becoming a rockstar. there are people that have been doing it for years and they have no interest in that they just want to play maybe a couple times a month. That’s all cool for us we like the movies we have three of us songs currently in the movies. We love to tour and we’ve to it all over the USA Canada and over the pond in Europe. We love making albums we are working on our sixth album. so yes we would certainly like to continue doing all the things that we’re doing for sure.
PD. Who writes your songs, what are they about?
I am the songwriter and the songs about real life situations. They’re about good and bad because that’s the way life is. I try and tap into the universal mind and that’s where I get my inspiration.
PD. How do you promote your band and shows?
We have lots of good people and Friends who love to share our activities. Of course we do a lot of that ourselves. We are signed to Dark Star Records/Sony Music and they do a really good job of getting our music out all over the world and places that you could never imagine.
PD. What do you think about downloading music online?
At first like everybody else I thought that this was the demise of the music industry but now I’ve changed my view. I think that everything changes yet it all stays the same. For instance yes somebody making gold records was selling a lot of Records and these days nobody selling a lot of Records compared to years ago. But they are getting streaming plays on places like Spotify. The artist gets paid for every play so you can imagine if you’re getting millions of plays a day you getting paid for that so it’s just a different avenue of getting paid than before.
PD. What song do you wish you’d written and why?
The Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel. That Song Is Timeless and the lyrics are powerful.
PD. What are some of your pet peeves?
I’ve changed in that area as well. Before what I expected from people is not what I expect now. No one is going to be perfect there is always going to be issues and drama. We take care of all the technical things when playing live or recording it’s a lot of work and it’s a lot of grueling tasks. So I check things more than once to make sure that everything is copesthetic. Here’s one, when simply rolling up a cable it’s got to be done a certain way if you do it too tight and gets ruined after a year or so. so it’s got to be rolled up Loosely not like an extension cord that you wrap around your elbow. Nice and easy.
PD. What is your proudest moment in music?
The proudest moment has got to be after all the work that is put into making an album whether you’re traveling for that or recording in your own Studio this album that we will soon to be releasing took 8 months and during that time of course we’re playing shows so it’s whatever time there is available. It’s late nights and early mornings. So the proudest moment has to be when it’s finished mixed mastered and you’re hearing it for the first time.
PD. So what are you working on at the moment?
