PD: How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?
LACABRA: We are a metal band from Seattle Wa USA
PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc.
LACABRA: We are all local veteran musicians from Seattle, and we all played in numerous bands, and had somewhat success with some of the bands . (Second Coming, Locistellar, Hatefist and Blood And Thunder). Llosa, stellar fallow, part during pandemic, and Eric Snyder and Lance Neatherlin decided to keep going with the new band. LACABRA is basically the final lineup for Locistellar with a new drummer, Richie Sather. We decided to take more straightforward metal approach rather than using rock influences and here you have it – LACABRA
PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences? What do you like to write about in your songs?
LACABRA: Carcass, At The Gates and other death metal bands like that.80s metal like Judas priest and King Diamond, Merciful Fate and also killing joke. -We write about real events that effect us directly
PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?
LACABRA: Being a signed International touring act is our goal.
PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?
LACABRA: Too many moments to choose from
PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new artists emerging from bedrooms in the day of the home studio. How is that going?
LACABRA: We don’t pay any attention to that. We focus writing and recording our music and playing live.
PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?
LACABRA: We book our own shows and tours and yes, we have some things coming up in 2024 happening in the US France and the UK
PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?
LACABRA: There’s nothing anyone can do about it. It’s the way of the world now and it’s not going to slow down anytime soon we’re sure of that.all we can do is hope that people show up to our shows and buy merch.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
LACABRA: Louie Louie haha it’s the most played song in the US and they are killing it on the publishing rights hahaha
PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?
LACABRA: Kill all streaming platforms, and Bring back cassette and CD sales
PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?
LACABRA: working on a full length album, and a series of small tours
