Hailing from South Western Ontario (London), Hellaphant brings you some tasty, angst driven, power-pop tracks. Loud guitars, driving bass and drums, laden with hooky melodies that invite you along for the ride. Their first release, “Maybe Pain” was released on Cursed Blessings Records “Reinventing the Safety Pin” compilation (October 2020), which led to Cursed Blessings Records releasing “Crumble” a 4 song ep, as the label’s first digital download.
Part of a series to showcase bands. Both of these recordings were produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Siegfried Meir at the Cat Box Studios and Beach Road Studios. These releases quickly established Hellaphant as a band to watch out for. The band has also been featured on REEL to Reel Records compilation volume 2.
2021 saw the band signing with Faster and Louder Records who immediately released the “Crumble”ep (with 2 additional tracks “Maybe Pain” and an older song, Gary wrote for his old band -LAME-, called “Boxed In”. They are now prepping to go back in the studio (again with Siegfried Meier at the helm) to work on their follow up album to “Crumble”.
The band consists of musicians from South Western Ontario, with solid resumes and musical pasts.
