PD: How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?
EF: We are a very sunny band, full of enthusiasm and energy, with the idea of always improving ourselves in every situation that arises.
Our idea is always to be able to share our music and improve it day after day.
PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc.
EF: Even Flow comes from Sardinia, the band is founded by the brothers Pietro Paolo Lunesu & Giorgio Lunesu.
The basic musical background of the band has roots that arise from blues/rock, from there the discovery of hard rock up to today’s Power Progressive metal.
Thanks to our parents we became passionate about music .., from there to be able to found a band we started to study the covers of the biggest bands, and at the same time, we began to study a lot of musical instruments.
PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences? What do you like to write about in your songs?
EF: I am inspired to make music by the joy of being able to share the songs I write with my brother and at the same time share them with the people who come to our concerts.
Usually what I like to write about is everyday life, especially about the world around us.
The inspiration in musical terms I think of the progressive rock of the seventies and all those groups that have managed to write important pages in the history of music
PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?
EF: My aspirations are always to write great music, and play lots of Live!
I hope in the future to be able to play on very large stages!
PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?
EF: Playing at Rock The Castle in 2019 in Villafranca di Verona with Slash, Sebastian Bach, and many other rock stars of which we are super fans!
PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new artists emerging from bedrooms in the day of the home studio. How is that going?
EF: With our new EP “Mediterraneo” which will be released on October 3rd we are receiving extremely positive feedback from all over the world, I think for the band it is a huge step forward, and we are super happy
PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?
EF: Usually, over the years, I have had the opportunity to know the owners of clubs around Europe, now for me, it is easy to organize a tour for Even Flow, obviously, it happens that there are agencies that can offer us a medium / large shows, we are working for the future on some special show, but I can not reveal anything else because I am superstitious ahah
PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?
EF: I do not agree that you can download music, music is an art and must be respected.
Unfortunately, everything has become digital, and the magic of being able to buy albums and being able to breathe the printing paper of a new Booklet has been lost.
For over twenty years the record industry has been killed, with the advent of Spotify, the artist is paid very little, it is no coincidence that there are many bands on the market, but at the same time also that they disband.
Unfortunately, it is so, you have to adapt and try to move forward.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
EF: Take The Time by Dream Theater.
An epic song where there is everything, unattainable for anyone, I think that even they would no longer be able to rewrite such a song, for me it is beautiful, I love it. To incredible musical and vocal parts, one of a kind.
PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?
EF: The only thing I would like to change is that we could go back to the past, where CDs were bought, and where people were more attentive to listening to music.
PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?
EF: We are working on the new album and it will be a bomb!
PD: Where can we learn more about you and buy your music/merch online?
EF: You can buy music/merch online on our website:www.bandevenflow.com
