Dongle

Dongle started taking shape when rhythm guitarist Rob Howard and bassist Blake Hegar started jamming on Thursday nights as a way of decompressing from what life threw their way. Thinking that they might want to do something more with this musical endeavor, they brought in friend and drummer Derek Davis whom they’d met a few years earlier at a party (go figure). A few months later, Derek’s friend, Cameron Bostedt brought his awesome guitar skills to the band. With 5 years under his belt, but never in a band setting, he was excited to give it a shot.
Once they started writing their own music and realizing their potential, they knew they were on to something. So with the sole purpose of making their own style of rock music, they jumped in head first. With 4 completely different musical styles and backgrounds, a different kind of sound began to take shape. From Punk to metal, country to progressive rock and everything in between, Dongle developed a sound and writing style that is unique and will have you singing along.
In May of 2016, Cameron decided to leave the band due to other obligations. On July 2, we had our first show without him where we announced Rick Ciampi as our new lead guitarist. Blake decided to leave the band in late 2016 for personal reasons. Now we have brought in Victor DeLeon to play bass. You will be hearing a new sound from Dongle very soon!
