Dark Elite – Interview

Interview with TH, Creator of Dark Elite and  Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (https://petesrocknewsandviews.com)

PD:  How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?

TH: I am chaotic. Nothing that is created is done by calculated ways. We even create our songs in a backward manner.

PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc.

TH: Dark Elite is from Finland, things happen and I personally drifted into the realm of music. I also enjoy and create visual arts.

PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences? What do you like to write about in your songs?

TH: I’m always inspired by the failure of society and system that society is built on, greed upon greed. World that is heading face first into the wall. all levels of mankind’s stupidness let it be weakness on personal level or believing in mythical texts created by man that are in the end just someone else’s imagination and false realizations.

PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?

TH: In a way Dark Elite is my channel to deal with life as I observe the stupidity of mankind.

PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?

TH: My personal would probably been how well our latest release came out and how people have enjoyed it.

PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new artists emerging from bedrooms in the day of the home studio. How is that going?

TH: I understand this situation. Luckily, it’s not yet as bad as with the visual arts as AI is on everyone’s palms. I will and can’t never judge where and how someone creates the art. Bedroom and rehearsal place etc. For example, we have recorded all our music at our homes.

Number of bands is huge and expanding. It’s hard to surface even tough you would be good. That is a problem. Problem to those who know that they are good. Maybe the reality is that the crap is burying the good ones.

PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?

TH: No, we have never played live. We have talked about it and we even have playlist compiled. But we are not interested in live performances. For example, we have been three times in a same place at the same time.

PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?

TH: I think those services serve the good people as a promotion channel. The good people after approving the music keep on consuming the streaming platform media and also invest into physical copy.

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

TH: Well I am a huge Tenhi fan and any song from them would be ok.

PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?

TH: Well I don’t care as I don’t see my self to be anyway connected or anything I do does not depend on the industry. I like small publisher styled labes and support creating everything yourself.

PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?

TH: I am working on my project band called Virtaus full length album. Right after that we will start recording new Dark Elite. Drums have already been recorded, 8 songs in total.

PD: Where can we learn more about you and buy your music/merch online?

TH: You can support our work through bandcamp and buy physical copy of the cd from vrykoblast productions https://vrykoblastproduction.bigcartel.com/
