D16
D16 is a punk rock band formed in Athens, Greece by Spyros K. (guitar) and Giota T. (bass, vocals). The addition of drummer Makis Z. completed the set in the best possible way.
D16’s songs are all about the beauty and essence of simplicity as a powerful means of expressing deep thoughts and feelings we all experience at some point in our lives or throughout it. Irony and humorous lyrics, as constant companions remind us that there’s nothing in everyday life we can’t mock or laugh about. Our philosophy of simplicity on playing, writing, and exposing ourselves through music is based on our lifetime admiration, connection and endless love for the Ramones. Without them we would have never even come close or be motivated to write our own stuff or play music in the first place. Thank You Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, Tommy for making it so damn easy! May you rest in peace.
