Sophomore EP “Eclipses” out now! Upcoming tour dates with Pavilion (Brisbane)
2019 has been a big year for the western Sydney Prog-Rock outfit, with the release of “Eclipses” and many shows across Sydney. Fairly new to the scene, Code Atlantic have been fusing melodic progressive rock with the harder edges of alternative metal.
Formed in 2016 the band consists of Matt New (Guitar), Michael White (Drums), Ben McDonough (Bass), and Matt Pearson (Vocals). All coming together from a collective of defunct Sydney bands.
“Eclipses” is conceptual vision on the changes humanity faces in the future. Code Atlantic fuse the melodic ambience reminiscent to bands like Karnivool with the aggression and tuned down chunk likened to alternative metal acts like Deftones and Helmet.
Code Atlantic are set to release the 3rd single from “Eclipses” early august “Fill The Void”.
The remainder of 2019 looks promising for the quartet, touring with Brisbane Alt-Metal band Pavilion who are touring for their debut EP “Hellfire”.
Catch the bands at the following shows.
Thursday 12th September @ Crowbar Sydney w/ Pavilion and Wolf Creek
Friday 14th September @ The Stag & Hunter (Newcastle) w/ Pavilion and Lost Without Life
“Eclipses” is out now on Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify and all major streaming services
