Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (https://petesrocknewsandviews.com)
PD: What type of artist are you?
BOA: We are a metal band based in Tampa, Florida USA

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.
BOA: We began in 2015 and released our first EP “Rise of The Fallen Gods” in 2017. With our debut single “Odin’s Wrath” we won awards at the Independent Music Awards in NYC, International Music and Entertainment Awards, and Akademia Awards. That lead us to our first label signing with Sliptrick Records. We released our first full-length album in 2020 “Failure of Faith.” Over the last two years we have toured the U.S. and performed at festivals in support of the album. Currently we will be releasing a new original single “Spillage” while we write and record our upcoming full-length album with our new label Biohazardous Records.
PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?
BOA: The bands influences are Lamb of God, Pantera, Slipknot, Dark Tranquillity, and Cradle of Filth.
PD: What are your dreams and goals?
BOA: To Continue writing and recording, playing festivals globally, and releasing videos.
PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?
BOA: Originally, I (guitarist Aaron Robinson) wrote the lyrics and music. Now that the band has a permanent line-up, the new music is a collaborative effort with all members involved.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?
BOA: We promote doing interviews. Social Media marketing, and radio promotion.
PD: What do you think about downloading music online?
BOA: It is here to stay. There definitely needs to be reform in the music streaming model. But reform won’t happen until the industry starts to lose money again. The music business is booming. For the musician, it is only booming for a small amount of artist. What bands such as us are only lucky enough to break even.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
BOA: Fear Factories song “Fear Campaign.” It is just a fantastic song with a lot of passion. It is so heavy. Every time I hear I can’t help but crank up the stereo.
PD: What are some of your pet peeves?
BOA: Bad karaoke singing. I am not a fan of DJ’s calling themselves musicians.
PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

BOA: Most recently, was when we played the Toledo Death Fest, and we could feel we have captured the audience. They were with us through every song.
PD: So what are you working on at the moment?
BOA: Now, we are on a break from the rest of the year. Next year we will be writing and recording a new album for our new label Biohazardous Records.
PD: What music have you available online and where can we buy it from?
BOA: We have our debut EP “Rise of the Fallen Gods,” and LP “Failure of Faith.” Also, our single release of our cover of Black Sabbath’s “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.” You can find our music on all on-line and streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon. On Halloween October 31st. We will be releasing our new single “Spillage.”
