BLACK STAR JACKALS TEASE DEBUT EP
WITH NEW SINGLE ‘DOWN THIS ROAD’

Glasgow based Black Star Jackals burst on to the scene in 2019 with debut single Maybe winning great critical acclaim. The band then went on to win the Scottish final of the Soundwaves Music Competition. Since then the alt-rock 4 piece have quickly garnered new fans, radio airplay and positive reviews from industry professionals thanks to their infectious melodies and hard rock vibes. Their recent singles Always The Same and Party People surpassed all expectations and have featured heavily across radio including the likes of the BBC Introducing Radio Nan Gaidheal and Total Rock. Tom Russell made Party People ‘single of the week’ on his The Max radio show, whilst Jim Gellatly had it as ‘track of the day’ on Amazing Radio.

The band will be performing live up and down the country over the next few months, including a spot at Monsterfest in November!

New Single Down This Road is released Friday 13th August and will feature on the band’s forthcoming debut EP.

“Down This Road explores the dangers and negativity of toxic relationships, both with others and our own inner demons. The song can be seen as a message of defiance, spoken both out loud to another person or even as an inner monologue, reminding ourselves to not repeat old habits that can lead us into bad habits and down a dark path. It’s ultimately a positive song about finding the inner strength to say no and become a better person”
– Black Star Jackals

The band returned to Venice of the North Studios in their hometown of Glasgow to record the single, whose amazing production brought a new power and depth to the music, creating the impact they wanted.
