PD: What type of artist are you?
Mirko – Hi, I’m Mirko, the guitarist in Witche’s Brew, first of all let me thank you for having us here. I like to think of us as a Rock’n’Roll band, I’m not too fond of labels and I don’t really enjoy being put in a category, we’ve been considered all sort of different music genres but we really just play what we like and feel, but mainly we like to hit it pretty hard.

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.
Mark – Hi I’m Mark Witche’s Brew’s singer, and thanks for having us here! We all have a long music history, and thus a great experience.

Mirko – That’s right, we all come from different music experiences, I don’t wanna bore you with the usual I did this and I did that before this project, Witche’s Brew has been around for more than ten years now, we previously released three full length albums and we’ve gone under a couple of lineup changes before we found the perfect synergy. We’ve gigged all over Europe and we’re ready to do it again.

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

Mirko – Musically speaking I feel like I’m influenced by many different styles, it’s not like I gotta be always on the same track. I enjoy a wide range of different forms of music and I really think that I’m influenced by all of them, with a few exceptions, some stuff really gets on my nerves. On a non musical side I’m influenced by the great painters of the past, not only by their artistry but also by their lifestyle, none of them had it easy, but that’s what made them what they became. As strange as it may sound anyway, I believe than they also influence me musically so it’s all interconnected in a way.

PD: What are your dreams and goals?
Mark – Mine is very simple, I’d like millions of people to listen to our songs!

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?
Mark – We all write them. Our band is a round table on which we all put our individual ideas, mix them and create the songs. Our last one is a concept album that has a particular story, and as always happens, each song is a short story that put together creates the entire one

Mirko – Yes, our songwriting doesn’t really have any particular formula, it’s different for every song and it’s unpredictable, we all bring what we have to the table and when we hit it right we just feel it.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

Mirko – We have professional promoters, like Pete’s Rock News And Views

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?
Mark – I would prefer to see people buying physical albums in music stores, but that’s jurassic, so I have to say that I approve online music download as long as it’s legal.

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
Mark – The entire album Tyr from Black Sabbath.

Mirko – Beethoven’s fifth symphony, because it made him rich, it got him lots of women and to this day it’s still one of the darkest and scariest tunes I’ve ever heard.

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?
Mirko – My pet peeves are touchy-feely people, I don’t understand why some people can’t just talk to you without having to grab you, also when they shake your hand without really shaking it you know what I mean? They just plop their moist lump of dead fingers in your hand and leave it there, I also don’t like hypocrites and falsity, I can deal and respect you more if you say it as it is in my face but don’t smile at me and stab me in the back, that gets me annoyed.

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?
Mirko – I’m proud of everything I’ve done, I don’t regret anything, I played in front of thousands of people and in front of twenty, every time I gave 100% and I was proud I gave whoever came to see us all I’ve got. Of course being chosen by the best producer, the best manager and the biggest label on the market it’s not too bad either. (that is just a nonchalant attempt to say that I’m super proud of that.)

PD: So what are you working on at the moment?

Mirko – At the moment our new single Find a Way has just been released on all the major platforms ( Spotify, ITunes, etc. ) Our new video is out on VEVO, our next single is going to be out on the 11th of September and the album will be released shortly after that. Words around are saying that approaching the end of the year some venues and concerts are gonna reopen and as soon as that happens we’re ready to hit the road, so right now, we’re working on a show with all the new material in it.

PD: What music have you available online and where can we buy it from?
Mark – Our music is on all the major platforms, to make things easier you can find all the links on our site:

Mirko – And of course as I mentioned before, Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, etc, etc.
