W/Child

W/Child

With the release of their self titled debut EP, W/Child takes the best parts of a few classic genres and breeds a feel all it’s own. Lush with addicting progressions, undertones of a brooding darkness, and persistent almost 90’s alternative sound, the record boasts the aesthetic of alt pop rock anthems.

The first single, “Innocent”, immediately grabs you with it’s infectious percussion work, followed by catchy vocal melody and chorus that sticks with you far after the track ends. Most important though is the songs ability to breathe and grow as it plays on.

“The song reflects on how we are very much innocent and very much not innocent. The children of generation X. Musically it’s the nostalgia of us being kids of the 80’s and 90’s, there are so many mediums right now trying to move forward but if we want to be honest after the 90’s where the fuck are we going? ” explains  songwriter Sierra Swan of the bands single.
