British sludge metal band VICTUS are now streaming a video for their new single “Demon” via Distorted Sound Magazine.

The band commented “Every one of us face battles – physically, mentally. We have constant pressures from society to adhere to. The conqueror and the resistor silent battle that wages in us all as well as in the physical world, are too, ever present. As a society, we tend to cling to this preconceived notion of whats right, and walk this fine line of programmed thinking, hating our outcomes before we even begin, dragging around this unnecessary burden. This is when we start killing a piece of ourselves and slowly, losing touch of who we really are, which is never a good outcome for anyone.”

Since the formation in late 2016, VICTUS have been an unstoppable force. Playing a hard hitting blend of Sludge, Doom and Southern Blues which leaves audiences astounded by their live performances.

The release of their debut single and video for the track ‘The Singularity’ gained VICTUS a widespread following. Working hard on their live performances to entertain an ever growing fan base with passion and their uncompromising sound. Their debut e.p. released in the fall of 2018, entitled ‘Sacrifice’, saw an explosion in their following and turning the heads of journalists and reviewers in the Metal scene, gaining very positive reviews.

After supporting such established bands as Crowbar, Monolord, Conjurer, Raging Speedhorn and Ingested, it is now the time for VICTUS to rise up. 2019 will see VICTUS play one of the most prestigious rock festivals, “Bloodstock Open Air”.

The current line up of vocalist Samuel Barron-Bolt, guitarist Klayton Dean, bassist Vernon Grech and drummer David Webber are continuing to work hard, constantly appearing on the live scene and working towards their debut album.
