Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (

PD: What type of artist are you?

We are an all original rock band

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

We formed in 1991 from a mixture of other local bands only to

Disband after 2 shows together. The singer moved to Florida for 13 years

Then returned and the band reformed the very same weekend he returned home.

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

Musical influences would mostly be 80’s metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Kiss, Judas Priest, and the likes.

Non-musical influences would probably be our parents…They were all very Supportive when we first started out.

PD: What are your dreams and goals?

Dreams and goals would simply be to continue to play music together for as long as possible and continue to have fun doing it.

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

Jeff Jackson, the lead vocalist writes most of the lyrics but not all and the music is usually written together as a group effort.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

Up until recently, we have always done this ourselves using any and all forms of social media and word of mouth. With that said, we are now looking at the possibility of hiring a promoter.

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?

I don’t download a lot of music. I’m old school and I like to have something physical in my hand like a CD or an album…with artwork and all the cool little things to read on the inside cover.

PD: What’s your outlook on the record industry today?

It’s pretty bleak. There’s no money in record sales anymore. That’s one reason why we’re giving our album away for free. Touring is where it’s at. Maybe we’ll be able to do that one day.

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

“Happy Birthday” It’s arguably the most recognized song in the English language. Royalties man! Royalties!

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?

People who don’t listen when you’re speaking to them. They are simply waiting for you to stop talking so they can run their mouth!

People who cant merge into traffic!

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

Finishing our album Unfinished Business and hearing someone Introduce our music on air!

PD: Tell us about your next shows and why we should be there.

Working with a promoter now to get some shows lined up.

You should be there because we are a LIVE band and playing for a LIVE audience Is what we live for!
