Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (http://petesrocknewsandviews.com)
PD: What type of artist are you?
TK: We’re a metal band! Except we’re a bit different from the rest, with different influences and so much creative energy we have a sound like no other.
PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.
TK: The band started as a garage band really between Jonny, Corey and Isaac. We worked our way up the ladder of the gigging scene in the North. Our first EP put us on the map, we recently departed ways with our previous singer and found Alistair and it’s just gone from strength to strength.
PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?
TK: There’s so many it’s hard to name! We love so many bands but id say the big 4 for us, that’s kind of the foundation of our style.
PD: What are your dreams and goals?
TK: World domination! But to make a living of what we do.
PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?
TK: We all write them, either Ali will have some riffs or Jonny will, maybe a bass or a drum idea it can come from anywhere, we all arrange it too and we all have our say. I’d say life inspires us, past experiences, what’s going on in the world or just a general concept we all like.
PD: How do you promote your band and shows?
TK: Mostly through social media and word of mouth, everything is social media these days.
PD: What do you think about downloading music online?
TK: It’s a great way to reach fans and to share your music, i definitely believe that artists should be paid more per steam though.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
TK: Very very good question.. Maybe One by Metallica. It was such a turning point in metal and such a strong song. Although there’s about 300 I’d wish we had written haha.
PD: What are some of your pet peeves?
TK: I’d have to say people leaving pints on top of amp heads, it drives me crazy.
PD: What is your proudest moment in music?
TK: Definitely playing bloodstock 2017! That was an amazing experience and I’m sure were going to have many many more to come.
PD: So what are you working on at the moment?
TK: At the moment we have quite a back catalogue of music that needs sorting, maybe 3 albums worth? We have a few new releases coming out soon and we’re writing stuff for our debut album at the moment.
PD: What music have you available online and where can we buy it from?
TK: All of our music is available online and you can purchase it through our bandcamp!
