The Summit
The Summit Covers A Lot Of Pop Styles With The Def Cat LP
Miami based pop rock band The Summit took their time with the Def Cat LP, a follow up their Def Cat EP released earlier this year. The LP is pretty much everything you’d want from a pop record and covers a lot of ground flawlessly. Unique in the way that it seems to almost change styles with each song, the record does have indie rock, acoustic pop, classic folk rock, and entices the listener with new musical instruments constantly. Saxophone solos. Yes you rad that right. Makes you want to listen doesn’t it. A professional grade nearly perfect LP, get yourself nice and prepared soak in a lot of sounds and styles of pop songwriting. All in all, a job very well done.
Here is what the guys had to say about the release:
“I think the single just gives a sneak peek on what we’ve got goin on, it’s a more diverse song, being that if you listen to a past single of ours (The Red Sea) you’ll see they’re pretty different I’d say in terms of genres. Crazy for Life does a good job at displaying the versatility that goes on with our music, both lyrically and musically.”
