The Rocket

The Rocket

Synth driven pop punk outfit The Rocket aims to bring a refreshing take on the classics they all grew up with. With a keen ear for infectious melodies and an illustrious live reputation, the band has played big stages such as Groezrock, Europe’s biggest punk rock festival.

After a break to pursue other musical endeavours, The Rocket are back in full effect. Their new album ‘Another Reason Not to Fear the Sky’, is proof of the reinvigorated energy and ambition the quintet brings to the table.

The first two songs were definitely a representative sample of the album when it comes to the general sonic signature, but the album has a lot more to offer than Chain Reaction and Lost at Sea.

We’ve got some faster, Blink-inspired tunes on the album, yet we also have a few slow burners on there. There’s a song on there that’s nearly 5 minutes long, which isn’t all too frequent in punk rock and then there’s another track we cowrote with the guys in Motion City Soundtrack (on which some of them feature as well) so that obviously has some of the MCS sound in it.

All in all, I’d say the album’s pretty diverse though definitely coherent, not in the least thanks to the guiding light our producer Marc McClusky provided during the recording sessions,” reveals guitarist Stijn.

Buckle up, because it’s only just begun. The band’s new album ‘Another Reason Not to Fear the Sky’ is indeed out since April 26th 2018!
