PD: What type of artist are you? Hello!

HW: We are a doom/stoner metal band.

PD: Tell us your brief history of yourself.

HW: My name is Hannah white. We are a four piece doom/stoner metal band who write and play songs about sex, love, drink and politics. We have Seán Maguire as vocalist, Michael McConville on guitar and Jack Donnelly on drums. This is our second Ep release coming out. haha so we were talking one time about facts during our lunch break in college break and I said that film and tv extras during filming constantly say the word ‘Rhubarb’ as it uses the entire mouth when pronouncing it. We said that’s it, ‘Rhubarb’!

PD: Who are your non- musical and musical influences?

HW: Ohh we have so many but definitely Ozzy Osbourne, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Lemmy, Matt Pike and Stacia Blake. Oh and the dog from Beethoven…

PD: What are your dreams and goals?

HW: We have always had the same aspiration which is where we are now, we never thought we could get where we are now, but one day we want to play tours, release an album and rocking out forever!

PD: Who writes our songs and what are they about?

HW: We all contribute, whether it’s the riff, lyrics and melody. Michael and myself mostly wrote the riffs and lyrics however we all contribute some way or another.

PD: How do you promote your bands and shows?

HW: For our single release we have used san Pr who have been great and we have recently been managed by reaction management you boost our promotion on socials like Facebook, Instagram etc to promote our recent releases and shows.

PD: What do you think about music downloading?

HW: It’s convenient, easy to access and good for grassroots band to get their music out there more easily but definitely a traditionalist love vinyl and hopefully one day we can release on vinyl!

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

HW: Oh hands down N.I.B by Black sabbath . Everything about it is spot on from the melody, the lyrics, the riffs it’s phenomenal. Hats off to them!

PD: What are some of you pet peeves?

HW: Haha oh gosh quite a lot of things definitely chewing, talking with mouth full and an empty bottle of gin.

PD: What is your proudest moment of music?

HW: As cringey as it sounds but actually forming the rhubarb and meeting the guys, that’s my happiest moment.

PD: So what are you working on the now?

HW: A lot in the diary to be honest, recording next year and looking forward to our release in December !
