The Demo are a five piece Indie Rock band from Middleton, Manchester founded in 2017. After the release of their previous singles, ‘How’ve We Ended Up (Here Again)’ and ‘Not a Lot’, The Demo are back with their latest single ‘Apart’ which will be released on Friday 27 November 2020.
‘Apart’ expresses the bands newly enhanced confidence in the studio, whilst at the same time, still maintaining their catchy and relatable sound. The single was recorded and produced by Dom Richmond at Eiger Studios in Leeds and mastered by Pete Maher, both of whom are highly respected within the music industry for their craft.
After sell out shows at numerous Manchester venues such as Night and Day Cafe and The Breadshed as well as gigs in London, The Demo are looking to implement themselves on the wider Indie Rock scene. With a sell out show at Eiger Studios in Leeds lined up on Saturday 12 December 2020, this is the perfect time to release their eagerly anticipated new single.
“We are buzzing with the response so far” says frontman Louie. ‘It’s massive for us when people go out of their way to show their support. For us, we just can’t wait to keep producing work that people can enjoy and get back gigging”
As individuals with varying musical backgrounds and influences, including The Strokes, Inhaler and The Libertines, their sound is one that combines infectious indie beats with a raw edge. The Demo are looking to make a true stamp on the current Manchester music scene with their upcoming single.
”Apart’ is arguably the band’s strongest release to date. Four minutes of soaring, shimmering guitars and suitably optimistic vocals. It feels like The Demo are taking a step in a more mature direction.’ – RGM
