Sunset Jet

The latest release by Isle Of Man based indie/pop band Sunset Jet-Live At The Masquerade is out on 30th June

Live The Masquerade is a song about insecurity and overcoming it through building an alternate persona, then having to deal with the complexities that come from thinking that no-one knows really knows the real you.

The first verse was written in a nightclub in a sudden moment of realisation after a conversation with someone who would go on to become my partner.

We headed back to Brighton Road Studios over Easter to record with our friend and producer, Ali Gavan (of Cockwomble fame) where the band recorded 4 tracks over 2 challenging days.

The artwork was produced by Oxford graphic designer friend Sarah ‘The Biff’ Smith, where she compliments the songs allusions to phoniness with a larger than life piece of artwork.

Sunset Jet are an Alt-Rock band founded by Brad Meechan, Dan Webb, Jonathan Sutherland and Marcus Breese on the Isle of Man in 2018. The band have spent their first year playing shows and festivals the length and breadth of the land and writing and releasing singles, the recent highlight being a run of 11 gigs over the Isle of Man TT to crowds of bikers.
