The Sweet Tones Of Stephen Foster

An album from Stephen Foster takes a number of guitar tones and mends them all into one record that sings tasteful melodies through acoustic and electric subtly and has you coming back for more.

The record released from Foster, Sharing Perils, is quite crisp and breathable with a very personal form of storytelling that does a great job of creating imagery and keeps you singing along with wonderfully thought out changes and progressive songwriting that he manages to transform into songs that are completely delightful.

The record is super full with a tight knit sound but done with a variety of tones that make it work very well.

The release is filled with everything from folk-rock to singer-songwriter tracks and everything has its own life it breathes into the record as a whole.

“I will often go back to a song I originally thought was completed, and then I realize something else is missing – this process of revisiting has been helpful in opening my ears to potential additional instrumentation I sometimes end up adding. – Stephen Foster
