PD:  How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?

PT: i myself was influenced by the older days of black death thrash bands such as bathory’ sodom’venom’celtic frost’sacrifice old kreator and so on.my members are basically the same.we like keeping the old feel .but aggressive of course .

PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc.

PT: from Pennsylvania but moved to new York back 75.growing up in long island I had access to decent radio stations that played metal unlike pa.also record stores that carried a variety of metal..later moving back to pa.

I had a little more knowledge of metal.alao inspired by the darkside.occult.ancient religions.satanism.witchcraft.in which also inspires the writing..

PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences? What do you like to write about in your songs?

PT: like I mentioned my inspirations we the older bands that sang about the occult .also books on these topics keep motivation and passion to keep sathanas going..

PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?

PT: that’s a tough question to answer . I believe when we were first able to tour Europe. and see how many people were waiting to see sathanas traveling many miles. made it all worth it..

PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?

PT: things are moving so fast these days. with the internet you can hear music soon as it’s out . it’s nice for promotion and contacting people and zines ect. I guess we will see in the near future. you used to have have to wait. order something. now you push a button to hear it..

PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new artists emerging from bedrooms in the day of the home studio. How is that going?

PT: we get shows ourselves. friends ours. promoters. whoever wants sathanas to contact us. if we can do it.. we will..

PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?

PT: playing in 2 weeks with corpsegod. they are members of leprosy from Pittsburgh.. sick death metal. possible fest in Chicago in couple months.. waiting to see on that..

PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?

PT: actually don’t know much about it . Im in the dark on these things.. although I know sathanasus on there . but through previous labels we were part of..

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

PT: another tough question. off top of my head I would say highway to hell . because it’s classic . never get tired hearing it . and bon Scott kicked ass!

PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?

PT: i would like to see more clubs and venues in support of this style of music .
