Safety? Always Off!

Safety? Always Off! formed online during the Covid-19 pandemic around an EP race Dan had been invited to.

Blake and Dan met at a rock ‘n’ roll Summer Camp in St. Louis sometime around the mid-2010s. Since then, Blake played in St. Louis emo trio Inches from Glory while Dan formed Urbana’s melodic death metal band Not For the Faint of Heart, which he left in 2019.

From these bands comes the sound that pushes the “core” and “easy” in easycore. Writing songs that could be quite accessible for having blast beats in them, or maybe inaccessible for songs with catchy choruses about popular song topics.

The band released two EPs during the EP Race, Self-Titled and Lifestyles. After the EP Race Blake and Dan started writing out an album, making sure to really push how far they can take easycore.

They released three singles “Your Voice”, “Just Keep Swimming” and “Prometheus” (Bandcamp Exclusive). Leading up to their latest album “Off To The Races” which you can listen to on the links below.
