Raggy Gold is a singer-songwriter, raconteur and writer currently based in Sheffield, UK. Whilst at University studying to become a dentist, he would regularly gig, make songs for political campaigns and perform at Revues to raise money for charity, though studies limited his true musical output. Now a professional smile maker, he has finally decided to create a few smiles with his music instead of his drill (actually Covid took care of that one) and the upcoming EP “Social Distance” hopes to achieve just this.
The debut single from his upcoming EP “Social Distance” is “Abbie”. This song takes a look at the important key workers in our society who have kept things going during lockdown. Raggy’s signature chilled out vibes are at work here with a slow and smooth bluegrass/ chilled out jazz style. This tune wouldn’t be out of place in a 1920s speakeasy and is certainly not out of place in a 2020s coronavirus pandemic with it’s lyrical content.
