QOHELETH
On April 27th 2018 Bad Cake Records will release Black Kites Broadcasts by noise rock/metal band QOHELETH.
About QOHELETH
QOHELETH: an experimental noise rock trio built on the aesthetic that all questions should be asked and all answers should be questioned. Comprised of Jeremy Hunt (bass/guitar/piano/voice), Mike Strickler (drums/guitar/voice), and Caiden Withey (paintings/visual identity), this band exists to collect and disassemble the experiences of a broken world into new expressions.
The band’s sophomore record, Black Kite Broadcasts, tells the story of a strange radio signal picked up during a band practice/writing session. Coming from a possible future or parallel timeline, it seems to hint at a terrible event some years from now dubbed “The Black Kite Crisis.” The songs contained herein are from bands of that era, ones left behind to make sense of the aftermath.
Presented by Bad Cake Records, this album was built on new levels of collaboration between all three members, sharing creative responsibilities in all directions. It represents a weird vision of what could be, in the event that the human species is unable to learn and grow from past and current ills.
QOHELETH: Written by accident. Played by instinct.
