Nouveau Bleach
Hostile Architecture

On their 2nd EP South London three-piece Nouveau Bleach continue to explore the insidious developments of the current moment. The torrid scenario of continued misrule by evermore autocratically inclined leaders and increased hardship and alienation provide the subject matter. These are songs inflected with sardonic observation and structured around a muscular rhythmic pulse.

The EP’s titular choice refers to the deliberately inhospitable designs aimed at deterring the homeless. The jagged, wilfully uncomfortable nature of these structures, informs this recording’s soundscape. Sonically this discomfort is incorporated into songs that mix a niggling atonality with a slight nod to more melodious elements.

The result is four tracks which remain rooted in the machinations of post-punk, whilst borrowing elements of grunge and hints of Indie. The Hostile Architecture EP is released on all major streaming sites on February 24th and the band are hitting the road to play around the country and promote it over the following months.
