no mad is a London, alternative funk-rock band formed in 2017 by 5 nomadic professional musicians to play old songs never performed before. After the album Motions in Black was recorded in 2017, drummer “The Doctor” left for Lisbon and the “Songwriter” quit the stage to take some time off in France. The band was reformed with “The NO” (guitar), “The M” (bass) and “The A” (singing and drumming).

Released in June 2018, the album Motions in Black is no mad’s breakout album onto the funk-rock London scene. The alternative mix of deep bass, electric chords and heavy groove is deliberately raw but hangs together harmoniously thanks to stunning melodies and lyrics. Title song Motions in Black is one for all the summer playlists.

The excellent album boasts 10 great original tracks that will certainly give fans of the funk-rock London scene something new to get their teeth into. Heartfelt, in depth lyrics backed up by stunning funk-rock tunes will serve to increase no mad’s profile to a great extent.
