Neon Atlas
Neon Atlas are a Cork-based alt-indie outfit that have been drawing a lot of attention from local and national media of late. They have just released their second album ‘Graffiti Reality’ (available through Spotify, iTunes, Amazon), on their own label ‘Demeanour Records’. Graffiti Reality is the follow-up to 2013’s critically acclaimed ‘Absolute Magnitude’ and according to critics ‘packs a serious musical punch’ – being nominated for several awards in Ireland, and attracting attention from both the UK and US. Neon Atlas have drawn comparisons with Silver Sun Pickups, Teenage Fanclub, and Weezer.

Ahead of their highly anticipated third album scheduled for release in September this year, Cork based indie specialists are on form once more as they return with a new single SHADOWS.

SHADOWS takes off with a riff that simply demands you stop whatever you’re doing. The arrangements are wonderfully poised, sometimes destructive and created with punch and fuzziness. A verse of melancholic guitar prettiness and a beautifully created chorus. A bridge of slovenly power-pop ecstasy pounding ferociously to a sing along outro.
Neon Atlas will be performing at Vantastival in June and will also be touring nationwide this summer.
