Sad Face

SAD FACE

New Zealand’s female-fronted hellraisers, “Mojo Alice” and their potent combination of stomp rock & blues is back in fine form with the new single “Sad Face”, which is available on all streaming platforms right now!

You Can Listen to “Sad Face” Here.

With their first new music in almost three years, “Mojo Alice” is excited to show growth and development in fine tuning their sound since their debut album “Liquid Sin” (2019).

The band’s vocalist, Jem comments; “Sad Face is like a ‘lyrical caricature’ about what one hears when living with mental health issues, such as depression. There is an almost narcissistic expectation to simply get over it, stop wallowing and ‘be normal’ whatever that is. Written from my own experiences and from a sarcastic perspective. Sad Face is me!

“Sad Face” is the first of several singles being released off of the brand-new album “Chompin At The Bit”. (To be released spring 2022)

Recorded in New Zealand and produced by Kentucky-based “Jeff Westlake”, “Chompin’ At The Bit” is made up of 10 high-energy, stomp rock tracks, oozing with attitude.

Overflowing with charisma, New Zealand’s female-fronted Mojo Alice brews up a potent combination of primal rock & blues, style, character, & balls. And with over 140,000 Spotify streams and 2000 playlist adds in very short order, the band’s “fans first” approach is disrupting more than just expectations.

On December 15th, 2018, Mojo Alice had just finished their 20 minute set in the finals for the Nationwide Battle of The Bands competition. They had travelled over 900 kms and poured everything they had into this competition. Making it to the top 15 by beating out 80 other bands. Then – just like that – it was all over…they didn’t win…..and how did they feel? RELIEVED!!

In the true spirit of rock n roll, Mojo Alice vowed to do things their own way.

Having just signed a worldwide record deal with USA-based label “RFL Records”, and the upcoming re-release of their debut album “Liquid Sin” for mid-2021(Amped/Alliance Distribution), this year is gearing up to be the biggest yet!
