Modern Water’s “A Light In The Uncanny Valley” record is a combination of light and dark, modern and older styles of indie rock and pop. Some great use of guitars and vocal parts and it’s own ambience. Some of this record is psychedelic, and some of it is straight forward pop but it’s all produced and written very well, with style, and with a certain maturity.
Here is what the band has to say about their new record:
“When we started this project (without really knowing that it *was* a project at first), we were by no means inexperienced, but with making this record I think a major part was the fact that we learned to strip away expectations. For some reason, almost immediately it seemed we were able to ignore or bypass that self-doubt and anxiety (you get when first creating music with another person) when we played together. This opened up the possibilities for what type of music we could make”
