Mind Erasure – Interview

Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (

PD: What type of artist are you?

ME: MIND ERASURE is a blackened Death metal band from Corfu, Greece.

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

ME: MIND ERASURE were formed back in 2007, for several years we were inactive or just rehearsing. In 2013 we released a promo and we hit the stage as an opening act for Rotting Christ. We have played in several shows and we have released a demo and a video clip. AT 23/1 our video clip AZRAEL premiers at you tube and at 13/2 our first album CONNIVE will be available.

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

Lampros: I listen to a great variety of metal music but i think my main influences are behemoth. Rotting Christ and uada. As non-musical influences, I have read a lot of Stephen King’s books, philosophy and especially nihilism and I practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu, my teacher is a great influence for me.

Vasilis: I listen to all kinds of Rock/Metal genres but lately mainly I enjoy extreme metal the most.

PD: What are your dreams and goals?

Lampros: As it for MIND ERASURE, I want to write more music, study and become a better musician. Evolve.

Vasilis: Creating more music for my own sanity and wherever it leads. I’d love to tour the world wen that’s possible again as well.

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

Lampros: Music is written by the band, we work together. Vasilis’ is always putting the final touches and make the preproduction of our songs. I write the lyrics, mostly.

We all have offered music for the album. It’s a teamwork expect the lyrics that are written by Lampros. They are about violence, war, existential and nihilistic philosophy, anti-religious themes from our perspective.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

ME: Through the web, since this covid mess will not let us be on stage…

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

ME: The Pursuit of Vikings by Amon Amarth would have been cool!!!!

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?

Lampros: My family owns four dogs.

Vasilis: I have several cats and more that just come from around to eat!

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

Lampros: It was when we set a date for our album CONNIVE release

Vasilis: Definitely Connive. After all that time writing and recording, I still like the songs and I listen the album a lot. That was a goal, to make music we like to listen to ourselves.

PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?

ME: Mostly we promote the album, also working on our next one.
