Joylessness
October 7, 2022

One man garage/budget/lofi punk project Melt Citizen release their new album ‘Joylessness’ on October 7th.

Mike Peregrino is the musician responsible for Melt Citizen. Watch out for the first single taken from the album called ‘Jajajajaja’.

Melt Citizen’s  past releases have garnished comparisons to bands such as Hüsker Dü, Wipers, Brainiac, The Oblivians, and Descendents to name a few.

“Up-tempo guitar riffs with a crushing drum and bass back-end that complements the witty, snarly vocals for this El Paso band’s latest. Too fast and hook-filled to be stoner rock and too punk/grunge heavy to be shoegaze. The older kids will think of post-Land Speed Record HÜSKER DÜ and the young ones will compare it to DRUG CHURCH. Both great compliments.”
Tim Janchar / Maximum RocknRoll #422

“His tunes are ridiculously catchy, his licks are out of control, his drums clatter like a drunken plates-spinner, and his riffs are as nail edged as Buzcocks (see “Glittering Feces”). Want to withstand a fiendishly catchy hurricane? Hold on! And clean up on aisle three!”
Jack Rabid / The Big Takeover Issue No. 88
