Low Orbit pounding rock single ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ released August 19
Five pounding rocks circling a heavy core, Low Orbit are (almost) down to Earth and always ready to collide! Rooted in a love of sci-fi, superheroes and IPA, we have regularly scheduled launches of soaring riffs, catchy melodies and occasional weightlessness that aim to take you as high as you can go and bring you crashing down harder than that time the big green fella ping-ponged the Ice Giant back and forth in New York…
In a world of power trios and stripped-back 2-pieces, we went the other way and have five members with 3 guitars – you can never rock too hard! That tertiary guitar provides extra interesting layers and melodies, but also brings the action when driving home a particular monstrous slice of heavy!
Formed originally by Martin Boulter (Vocals, Guitar) and Gareth Remblance (Guitar) back in 2014 under a shared love of Foo Fighters, we’ve sonically carved our own sound into the wall of rock. Other influences like Alter Bridge and Pearl Jam shape our sound, so you know you’ll always get groove, power, melody and excitement in every performance.
The latest single, Dead Men Tell No Tales, comes as an hors d’oeuvre for our first full album coming very soon. We think it contains the meatiest riff you’ve ever smelt; judge it for yourself right now! The album, Back from the Brink, tells the story of returning from any fall, and for us, represents how we feel coming out of the pandemic, personal trials/problems and demonstrating that being down doesn’t always mean being out!
Our first EP Original Research was a defining moment when we brought our take on rock music to the masses. Those 4 tracks are still smashed out in regular rotation at almost every gig we play. Keep an eye out for them in the set!
Our biggest gig to date is supporting fellow Macclesfield-rockers-cum-global-rockstars Virginmarys at Manchester Academy to a sold-out crowd. There’s nothing like playing to an audience of eager music fans and we regularly talk about and think back to that night and try to focus our efforts so that we are privileged to play gigs like that over and over again!
