Founded during their time in Colaiste Stiofain Naofa, Nick Abat and Steve Ahern decided to continue playing music together as Limit 60 after finishing their Music, Management and Sound course in 2015.
Despite leaning heavily towards covering other artists during their time in college, they decided to switch their focus to creating their own original music once they left. They quickly completed the line-up with other members, including long-time drummer David Christy Jones and began to write and perform their own material locally. After various line-up changes, the band eventually released their first EP with bassist Joseph O’Hagan in mid 2016. Met with a warm reception, their tracks got extensive radio play locally and nationally.After a brief hiatus in mid 2017, the band reformed with guitarist Steve Ahern now as the bands lead vocalist.With a completed line-up, the band are set to release their newest single ‘Wayside’ in late September.
