Life Of A Hero – Interview

Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (http://petesrocknewsandviews.com)

PD: What type of artist are you?

LOAH: Modern, Melodic, Hard Rock

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

LOAH: Life Of A Hero came from the first COVID Lockdown in 2020. Russ and Miles got together to write something different and just do something fun for a change, before we knew it, Josh was involved, Pete helped create the songs and we were 3 months in with a full album!! It all happened so quickly, and we realised we had a GREAT set of songs, so decided to turn it into a band. There was so much going on in the world at the time that we wanted to push everything towards the HEROES of the world, so the name came about and that’s where we went.. it all happened so quick!

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

LOAH: We based ourselves of modern bands such as Family Ruin, Those Damn Crows, Florence Black, Revival Black, Black Stone Cherry, Nickelback etc.. quite a heavy mixture!

PD: What are your dreams and goals?

LOAH: To showcase our music to as many people as possible and play festivals that really sit with our type of music.

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

LOAH: Unless we have worked on some songs with some people outside of the band, we all have a hand in writing the songs. We try and make all of our songs relatable to everyone! Whether it is one way for one person, and another way to the next, as long as it’s relatable!

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

LOAH: Mainly on social media. It’s hard to do it any other way in todays times

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?

LOAH: Tough one! We, as many other bands, have no choice in the matter, what IS annoying is the little return any bands get from it, not just us, but EVERY band and musician. I saw an artist recently release a single and it had over 85,000 streams… he earnt just over £4.00….

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

LOAH: We write the songs we always wish we’d written, it’s why we write them 😊 the only other reason you would say “wish I wrote that song” would be purely based on royalties, surely? If it’s was for a genuine “kick-ass” song.. Kickstart My Heart – Motley Crue

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?

LOAH: Lack of return for digital streaming

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

LOAH: Releasing our debut album

PD: So what are you working on at the moment?

LOAH: We are part way into album number two. We have a few songs already, and this one is going to be just as big as the first! We also have some awesome festivals booked up for 2022/2023

PD: What music have you available online and where can we buy it from?

LOAH: Our debut album, LETTING GO, is available from all digital stores online, via our label BATTLEGOD in Australia. You can see all videos on our Youtube/Facebook. #becomeahero
