Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (http://petesrocknewsandviews.com)
PD: How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?
LP: We are heavy metal and any sub genre within that.
PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc.
LP: I am from Wyoming. The rest is boring and you’ve read it before.
PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences?
LP: I like Samael, New Age music and other types. Weather and space and change of seasons inspire me.
What do you like to write about in your songs?
LP: Space, outer space and the human condition.
PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?
LP: None. I do this because I am here on earth and need to pass time. This is an ok way to pass time.
PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?
LP: Music and doing music this doesn’t make me proud. I do it to pass the time on earth. It’s better than other options.
PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new artists emerging from bedrooms in the day of the home studio. How is that going?
LP: It’s horrible. Online promotion is stupid.
PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?
LP: No I hate playing live. It hurt my ears. I tell the record company we will play live but have no intention of doing so.
PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?
LP: I don’t really care or think about these.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
LP: Stink finger clit by gg Allin. It’s catchy and gets the point across. Same with Jailbait by Motörhead.
PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?
LP: No it’s the way it’s supposed to be. The only person I can control is myself. Dumb question.
PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?
LP: I’m working on a glitter punk record by Sinn. Trying to lose weight and daily trying to fuck my wife.
PD: Where can we learn more about you and buy your music/merch online?
LP: Www.Leviathanprojectband.com or tommykrash on Facebook.
