PD: What type of artist are you?
K: I’m a musician.

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.
K: I’ve been touring heavily in Europe, Australia and New Zealand for the past years with the industrial project Kollaps. I’m originally from Australia however in 2019 I relocated to Lugano, Switzerland.

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?
K: Musical influences: SWANS, Vast, Townes Van Zandt. I have quite a lot more non-musical influences than ones of a musical nature; I’m a fan of romantic poets like Lord Byron, William Blake and find a lot of lyrical inspiration from books and films; Franz Kafka, George Orwell and Christopher Hitchens are amongst my favourite authors. 

PD: What are your dreams and goals?
K: I will continue to release records with Kollaps and tour the world. I would like to have the band tour the United States.

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?
K: I write the music and perform the majority of the instrumentation on all records by Kollaps. They’re about various things, mostly being in love, drug addiction or generally my emotional state.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?
K: Interviews. 

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?
K: It’s a beautiful thing.

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
K: “The Mercy Seat” by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?
K: Human beings generally existing tends to be a day ruiner for me.

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?
K: Performing at Wroclaw Industrial Festival is most certainly one of them; perhaps producing and mixing the album “Until The Day I Die”.

PD: So what are you working on at the moment?
K: I’m working on touring at the moment; I have a heavy schedule mostly focused in Europe for 2022.
