Just A Ride

Just A Ride
Great Divide
29th July 2022

Raised on a diet of nu-metal, punk, and alternative rock; Just A Ride brings together elements from all of these genres to create electrifying grunge-inspired anthems.

Named after the late comedy legend Bill Hicks most famous routine, the band channel his philosophy and outlook in their music, pushing listeners to ask the difficult questions while championing the power of positivity and love in the face of fear and doubt.

The band worked with producer Dave Draper (The Wildhearts, They Fell from The Sky) and mixer Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Skunk Anansie) on 2022’s self-titled debut album which received rave reviews and support from Metal Hammer, Planet Rock, and Kerrang! Radio.

The 4 piece have since been on the road with their show; converting fans to the rejuvenated grunge scene that is sweeping the UK.

With a truly global audience, thanks to the support of Spotify’s editorial team, independent radio stations, and an active social media presence JUST A RIDE continue to grow their following and prove that #GRUNGELIVES well and truly in 2022!

The stage is set. The time is now. All you need to do is come along for the ride…

Quote about Great Divide:

“Great Divide is a hard hitting, angst ridden anthem that speaks out about the division in our society and explores the consequences of living in a post-truth world. As always our band’s namesake Bill Hicks’ philosophy inspired the sentiment of Great Divide with a message to choose love over fear to create a better future for us all”  – Rodney.
