JOANovARC

JOANovARC have just released their powerful, emotional, energetic album ‘INVISIBLE ENEMY’.

This is the band’s 3rd studio album, produced and recorded by Jason Wilson at Stakeout studios in London.

The new album follows JOANovARC’s self-titled album (2019) that won ‘Classic Rock Magazine single of the week’

The new energetic and diverse album features 12 finely crafted songs. ‘INVISIBLE ENEMY’ is delivering powerful rock and metal anthems with a modern twist. This four-piece band are a driving force of talented musicians which transcends on to their new album with a new sound that is certainly more dynamic and heavier than before.

The drum and bass are the anchor that enforces the power of this album. The title track ‘INVISIBLE ENEMY’ is bold, dynamic, emotional and will hit you in the face.

“It took blood, sweat and tears to produce this album over a two year period of lockdown. The album was recorded over four sessions due to the UK restrictions but we finally made it to the end of the tunnel”  –  Shelley.

The album encapsulates JOANovARC’s experiences of the lockdown period, the dark times and human survival. Shelley adds ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ was the feeling behind this album and we hope that the listener can relate to our experiences and this will take them on a musical rollercoaster”.

The ‘INVISIBLE ENEMY’ album is a continuation of the band’s journey and includes songs that have been written by the Walker sisters over many years.

Current bio:

Exploding onto the international music scene in early 2015 with the acclaimed singles ‘Live Rock ’n’ Roll, ‘White Trash’ and Seeds of Summer,’ JOANovARC’s status as the new ‘Queens of Rock’ rose even higher with their debut album, Ride Of Your Life released in 2016. The album was recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios and produced by Grammy winning producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters).

JOANovARC’s self-titled second album (2019) brings together a number of the band’s live favourites, including the single ‘Jane’ (which won Classic Rock Magazine’s ‘Track of the Week’) and Spotify hit ‘Say Sayonara’ which achieved over 440,000 streams and featured on the Rock Running album.

The band is a global phenomenon with electrifying performances on tour in Europe, Japan, The Middle East, Caribbean and the USA supporting ‘Huntress’ at The Viper Rooms in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

JOANovARC were nominated for the ‘Angels of Rock’ Hard Rock Hell Award in 2017 alongside legends Girlschool & Rock Goddess.

The band was initially formed in 2004 with original line up sisters Sam and Shelley Walker, and Deborah Wildish joining later the same year. After five years as a trio, Laura Ozholl completed the line-up in 2009. In 2019 the line-up changed once more with Ellie Daymond on drums and Keira Kenworthy on bass continuing JOANovARC’s reputation for exceptional musicianship, longevity, song writing and unrelenting hard work.

The band wrote and recorded their new album over a 2 year period of lockdown. The music sets the mood of the lockdown journey from dark to light at the end of the tunnel. ‘Invisible Enemy’ is the bands 3rd studio album and was released in August 2022. Produced by Jason Wilson at Stakeout Studio in London.

‘With all manner of trials and obstacles besetting JOANovARC it’s a credit to them that they’ve got ‘Invisible Enemy’ out at all. And oh boy is it a cracker! ‘Invisible Enemy’ is a fine record put out in uncertain times. Give it a listen, enjoy, and cross your fingers this wonderful band will continue well into the future” –  Devolution Magazine

A track ripe with defiance and surging with spirit and emotive energy, Here I Go is the new single from UK rockers JOANovARC. It is also a prize tempting towards the London band’s new album Invisible Enemy, the kind of song which simply and tightly grabs holds and commandingly steers you the way of further adventures with the band. Hungrily infectious and emotively aflame, the track is a powerhouse of instinctive heart and rousing prowess yet equally an evocative slice of song writing and rock ‘n’ roll encouragement; a galvanic outing we have come to expect with the band but one as fresh and even more inspiriting than anything before. – The Ringmaster Review.
